Ok, first off I know its horrible, but its a start. This is my first AFV that I have built to completion. The entire thing was a total challenge that had me just wanting it to end by the time it was over.

First off, the model itself is excellent, great detail a fun build. That's where the fun ended though. I primed the model with Krylon flat black (what I use on my 28mm miniatures) and it seemed to obscure more detail, then I broke out the MM Afrika Mustard which went on super thick, no stopping it from looking puffy.

I started to put the wheels on and noticed that the paint was so thick they wouldn't go on the pegs. So I had to drill them out some which left the sprockets very loose and wouldn't tension the treads properly. I ended up having to just cut the tread and glue it to the top of the wheels under the schurtzen.

Once all that was done, I used brown chalk to weather the tracks and then highlight them back with pencil lead. I was actually pleased with this result.

Finally, I just washed the entire tank with a black wash that is just water and black paint as I am not really sure how to do washing on these beasts. Never done oil / turpoid so I was scared to.

I know it looks bad, but keep in mind it is just a start. I would love to compare some notes with people in the weathering department.
