After seeing this thread, http://armorama.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=SquawkBox&file=index&req=forums/135585&page=2#1168863 , and since it is Memorial Day, i'm thinking we need a campaign devoted to HUMVEEs. Anyone interested?

Count me in. I started one, but I have 2 more to go for a diorama I was thinking of. Is that OK to enter and focus on the 2 not yet started? Great idea for a campaign.

Good timing I'm about to start on a Danish HUMVEE "campaign" of my own. So I'm in.

Would it be all right to build HUMVEE based vehicles as well, like the Mowag Eagle?

I would,do a Humvee . Got two now I want to build. Does the dio only have to be a Humvee. If not I'll just do a Humvee patrol or something.

But I would join.

Count me in, great idea. I think it'll be great to see here not only Humvees alone, but dio's including Humvee and Humvee based vehicles too.

Glad to see such interest. But keep in mind i sont really know what I'm doing.

Rules are subject to change but harbor around:
Any scale
Any era
Any nationality
dios/ vignettes welcome
building a vehicle from a specific picture is encouraged
and above all HAVE FUN and remember the brave soldiers that served on the vehicle.

did I miss anything?

I ran a humvee campaign about 2 years back, it was very successful with lots of very nice entries! I think it would definitely be cool to have a Humvee campaign round two. The rules should be kepy basic,
Any Humvee variant, any scale, any nationality and dioramas/vignettes of which a Humvee plays a key role should also be accepted.

Id definitely be in, a lot has changed since the last campaign so perhaps we would see a few more M1114's and up-armoured humvees this time.

Sounds like a good idea. May I take the liberty to suggest that the campaign starts in the fall as there are plenty of campaigns running now. This might also get more people onboard for the campaign.

Anyway, I am all in

I'm going for Generation Kill with 3 Humvees and 1 shot up moving van yellow truck. The scene where they're leaving the Road Block the next morning "Combat Jack" I think.

Here's what I got so far:
2 Humvees basically built, 1 more M998 topless to go + 1 shot up civilian truck. The Blackdog accessories help a lot. I'm still waiting for the PK figures (3 weeks now ). 1/48th scale Tamiya and Plus Model OOB + Hauler .50cal

I hope so I would like to add a Humvee to a diorama of an Iraqi street.
