Been working a bit more on my kit. What do you guys think about adding some side armor panels to the Panther? My family is split 50/50.
Also, I have added a pony tail to the commander. I used the testors filler stuff in a tube. It dries really fast...too fast. Any ideas what other material I could use.
EDIT: Decided against thre side armor panels. More I looked it the more they did not seem to fit for numerous reasons.

Hello to all,
I must say, there are a bunch really good, innovative projects going on here. Hope mine isn't put to shame.
My entry will be an E - 25 recon vehicle.I removed the main gun and added a turret with a 10.5 cm smooth bore capable of firing low velocity HE and tungsten carbide AP sabot rounds. Tracks are widened and the engine updated to a 12-cylinder turbo-charged diesel.
In a former life I made a few extra bucks photographing weddings and doing portraits but I really suck at photographing models. I will post a few pics when the project is completed.
Best wishes to all,
Larry

I have been caught up in work (12 hour days), but regardless my work has been coming along. I shall get some pictures of the chassis lengthening and other progress I have made so far. Basically it is based on the 38b "paper traggers". In essence I have lengthened an Italeri/Revell Hetzer chassis (for lower hull) and will scratch build the upper hull. The armament will be a Trumpeter German sFH 18 15cm Field Howitzer. It will look basically like the Rheinmetall-Borsig Waffentrager fur 15cm Sf , but shall retain the lower chassis style of the Hetzer minus the rear engine access. Anyways enough of my rambling. To Mr. Witter, that project sounds awesome, I actually thought of mounting the Aufklarungspanzer 38(t) mit 2cm KwK.38 turret to the E-25 myself, albeit with a different slope to the armor. I really am geeking to see your folks fine work. Basically with all that has gone on in my life as of late, this has kept my head above the water. Thanks again for letting me on in this build.
Best regards,
Mike Allen

I promised to post pictures of my E-100 (according to the Panzer Tracts drawings) when my build was done...
Below are pictures of the almost finished model. I'm gonna add the antenna afterwards, as with the IR and the AA armor over the grilles. I might also add support brackets for the poison gas ID cards, not sure yet. Oh yeah, and an MG for the coax. But other than that I'm done. Sorry for not having the wheels underneath it, but they were so loose on the axles they kept falling off.
Cheers,
John

Hey all,
I am simply wondering if I can join with a zombie control vehicle. I am a huge horror movie fan, and I have always loved zombie movies that somehow involve vehicles meant to brave zombie hordes. So... in short. Is it acceptable to make a zombie war survival/assault vehicle?

Mike,
Any update. I was going through some books this evening and the "World War Z" would be a be a great What If.

My entry for this campaign is an SdKfz 925 reconnaissance vehicle. Starting with a rebuilt E - 25 chassis, the gun was removed and armor plate installed covering the opening. Then the suspension upgraded with wider track and stronger springs. Finally a turret with smooth-bore 10.5 cm gun was added.
Sorry for not having construction photos but the way I model in short sessions hardly allows time to build let alone photograph. Sorry for the quality of the photos.
Best regards,
Larry

Cool model!
What tracks, drive sprocket and suspension did you use? That looks awesome! I'm also looking to change the tracks and whatnot on my E-25 Kügelblitz...
Cheers,
John

That E-25 looks very good, I can't wait for Trumpeters E-50 and E-75 to be released
So after a long absence I have some updates! Going back to Uni really sucks up all the spare time.
Based loosely on the KV220, mainly in turret design.
Late '45 - early '46 for the time frame I'm guessing, might come up with a Dio for it. Possibly at the testing grounds, just for something a little different.
And the Tiger is not forgotten, just haven't taken any photos of it lately
All comments welcome and appreciated
Thanks
- Dan

KISS Army tank update. Need to glue together hull, finish painting figures, washing and weathering. I had some issues the decals but with help from folks on this site I was able to work them out.
Note: the german shepard is only situated for a while on this tank until I get an M2A2 TUSK built.
