I am not really smart when it comes to soviet uniforms and gear, so i wanted to ask what makes this figure specifically for 1943-45
http://www.bravo6.diorama.ru/img/products/35101-1.jpg
Is it the shoulder boards? I was looking for just such a figure for a possible early 1942 diorama, I was suprised such a figure existed, I thought I was going to have to improvise one.
Thanks

Yes,you`re right. Shoulder epaulets were introduces in Red Army in February 1943 If you want to make this figure for 1941-1942 you must delete epaulets and new type collar insignia and make ald style collar insignia like here.

Vladi,
Thank you for the answer and the link to the modified figure, I think I will be picking one up in the future. You do very nice work.

You'd also have to modify the tunic collar to the stand and fall style used prior to '43.
