You've done a phenomenal job there. I don't think that I exaggerate in saying that with the appropriate background this thing might pass for near real! The impressive detail is amazing!!!

Best of luck on future builds,
AJ

P.S. Jan, I partially sent my soda through my nose at you opening sentence.

Fantastic, Keith!! I must agree that your project has reached its prime point. You did an unexpectedly beautiful job on the simulated flame and particularly on the exhaust from the rear launch tube. Big thumbs up!

Thanks Jan, and I appreciate your inputs and support on this one. They helped out a lot!

When I first got the Iwata my research found several people stating that it required considerably less paint to cover a given area compared to other airbrushes. They surmise that it has something to do with the designs better atomization.

Cheers,
Jan

Less paint used means less paint applied which translates into less of a loss of detail. I can live with that.

Thanks AJ, that is high praise. I may need that luck with some of my in-progress kits on the workbench.

Jan & AJ, I had a similar reaction! But then a thought occurred to me—if I were to make a placard for it, that is what I would put on it. Seriously. It’s more interesting than the typical ‘Roland II missile system on a Marder chassis….’ and it sums up the whole scene (or vignette?) nicely.
