I had my doubts at times, but now it's (almost, almost) finished at last!
Take a look at the gallery and my final article on the Trumpeter 1:16 King tiger here, lots of pics:

Hello Hans
A wonderful effort and an outstanding result. Wonderful attention to detail. Modelling in this scale can be extremely challenging and you have acheived excellence here.
Very good presentation. She deserves the glass case to protect all that work!
Superb and well done.
Regards

Hej Hasse! Excellent build ... and an enjoyable journey from start to finish. Remarkably fast considering the amount of details also. IŽll be calling into the shop some day over the next week or two, to see it.

looks great indeed, but i'm missing dust, dirt etc.. on the vehicle. i can see scratches and such on the outside, but the tracks look very clean for a worn and used vehicle.. this might have been your intention though, everyone has his own taste

Stephen you're absolutely right. as I was saying in the article, these missing effects will be fixed after I get back from the holidays! I'll update the gallery then.

I debating getting the Porsche version, I have the first release Henshel turret.
What are the visual differences between the two?

As I understand it, the only kit difference is the turret per se. The chassis parts are the same in both kits, alas.
And you can of course Zimmerit the Porche variant, if you feel brave!
