Hi Sam! I'd like to hop onto the engine deck for this one also! This does look like an excellent release... I might have to make room for one amongst the Tiger stash!
Really looking forwards to this Sam... Phil

Hi Sam,
I also looking forward to building an Ersatz M10 and will follow your build. Thank you for posting all the pictures. I need to hunt down that volume of Panzer Wrecks for my library.

Well.... the pictures all indicate the box-art isn't accurate, so better check the kit contents when you get the box.
And can you spot the error?
Current projects:
DML Tiger-B late conversion into final
DML Panther-G late

Ah yeah thanks Herb - i'll not condemn the kit till I have it, but thanks for your 'positive' input on the tread anyway.

The tank on the box art has a muzzle break and there isn't one on 4 of the pictures of the real Ersatz M10's

Don't keep us all in suspense Herbert ... what is it? Oh, and by the way. Aren't you supposed to have the model kit FIRST, then start a build blog on it?

The box art looks like a pretty good match for the one below, before burning out and the gun tube getting spiked (or perhaps simply removed):

If you are refering to the missing circle around the star, there was at least one vehicle without it.
BTW: Most interesting thread...the first build blog without building a model...

Well Sam
it wouldn't surprise me if you just continued with your vbench on this over on planetarmor and didn't bother continuing with this one considering.......
I'll be following it over there as I know the excellent modelling skills you have and how well this will turn out.

Herbert - you're always diving into threads and telling us how this or that isn't accurate etc. and commenting on guys' builds.
And yet you never show us any of your own work. At least I can't recall ever seeing any, and at the time of writing your personal gallery is empty.
Those of us who've been around this site for a while know that WWII German armour (and Tigers / Panthers in particular) is your 'thing' and that you're well read and knowledgeable on the subject. And that in itself is fine - I'm not knocking what's obviously a keen and genuine interest on your part.
But how about finally showing us some of your own builds, my man?! Maybe even do a build log? It's one thing being an 'expert' on a subject - but why not show us the fruits of all that expertise?
You know, how it
should be done? Because I'm sure that if your modelling skills are on anything like the same level as your detailed knowledge of the "big cats", your work would be a treat to see.
Or are you more of a theorist than a practitioner?

Last three photos all show tanks with muzzle brakes. I winder who the bright spark was who decided to damage the cafe by traversing the gun around into it. Two pictures show the tank with the gun traversed to the right, but the first two show the Cafe wall damaged and the gun traversed to the rear through the wall. There is a good idea for a diorama!!

Different buildings! One with the hole has a small vending(?) machine hanging on the corner. I wondered about that also until I spotted the box.

Nope. Same building if you study the pictures properly. Read my previous post on the repaired wall, look at the architectural features. As for the vending machine, how difficult is that to remove especially as it's been broken open and is probably damaged beyond repair.

As soon as mine arrives I'm taking down it's measurements and modify a 1/16th Panther as a future R/C project.
That will be a surprise for the Allied side!

The bow machinegun is not covered over in the photos as it is in the box art, this is the only common thing I can see between all of the pictures that display that area.

Does anyone know which ones of all these Panther got knocked out and which ones were simply abandonned or broke down? Just curious...
