Looking good so far. I see you are going with the "salt" technique. Correct? Are going to paint another coat of OD on her?
Keep us posted on your progress.

Looking good so far. Can't wait to see the pitted effect of the salt. This should be a winner.

Nice looking model PVTparts. I read an article on the "salt technique" recently and have thought about giving it a go my self. Hope it all turns out well. What green colour have you used? What kit is this you are working on?

First paint an undercoat, then moisten the area with water when dry and add ordinary table salt with a brush or cotton swab etc in areas you want chips. The when dry spray desired colour. Wipe away salt to leave chips. Dont worry about the salt scoring the paint job as this adds to the effect as well. Clear coat or future as usual. I read about this method recently in Finescale modeller -- July 2003 issue.
Works for both enamels or acrylics!

looking good. But I am wondering how you are going to fit the glass as they require to be fitted from the inside out in the main. :-)

Looking good. I'm trying to get up the nerve to use the salt routine myself.

The way I see it..It will at least be interesting if not accurate. Plasticbattle; the paint is OD acrylic by Model Master and the model is Italeri water tank truck # 201.
Cliff, the windshield is mounted from the outside , unless I looked at the process wrong then I need little fingers. When the winshield is in place it gives it a framed look.....wish me luck
