This is the Mirage Hobby Kit.. I had the urge to do a Pz II L.. seeing ICM models by other members of my club.. but this Mirage Hobby kit came with some etch, so I figured I'd give it a shot... Originally, I planned on doing OOB.. but then saw that some of the stuff was darn right horrible (especially the jack!)... so I added some pieces from the Tamiya Pz IV took kit (Jack will go on last)...
Also put some latches and hinges on the storage boxes using scrap etch and wire..
replaced the fuel cans with Tamiya ones.. Styrene for straps...
I now have 3 kits in progress (the most ever for me), the Jagdpanther (nearing the end), Stug III C/D for Barbarossa Campaign (hoping to stay oob on that one).. and this kit which has been a lot of fun!!

Starting to take shape nicely Tuna. Those little extra touches really make a nice vehicle. Are there any major fit problems? I have been looking at the kit as well!!

Hi Plastic.. Yes there are some fit problems.. but nothing major... I think the kit is an excellent value.. some of the detail is nice.. and it comes with the etch grilles also etch clasps for the tow cable.. and the command attennae.. it is funny that there is nice detail in some areas , but then the tools.. arrrrgh.. lol I should post a picture of the Jack.. it is ugly!!!! a blob of plastic with a big dip in it like a black hole!.. the ICM kit doen't come with the extra's though... Also, I've been told by someone else in my club that a 'new' company is building a Luch's and it's supposed to be high quality, so you may want to wait a bit..
I guess the company name is Bego

Looks great Charlie. I'm looking forward to the new 1/35th Bego Pz Kpfw II Luchs kit due out this August. Anyone interested in seeing more info, go to the HobbyLink Pajan site. Look under Military-Future Relaeses. There are a coulple pics as well.
Are you gonna use the JR 2cm barrel. A set of MK or Friul Tracks will look good on this kit.
Cheers !
Robert
