First point,
I think it's a STANAG. The two letters shows the nation to which the convoy belongs.

Second point, the "again" only meant that the French army stick on wheeled vehicles for that purpose. It's not an appreciation upon how good or wrong was this decision. Personnally i think this new vehicle is a big monster It reminds me of some Soviet SS TEL.

Jason, I found this pic on the net of a Canadian Büffel in tan, looks like the deck has been rearranged a bit.
The additional attachments for mounting the slat armour are clearly visible on the side of the hull, the location looks like Munster/Germany?






You are on the right track. I am hoping to get some very detailed and up to date walk around images of the Canadian ARV 3.....but it might take a while.
