Impressive, you really captured the "look". I will never understand what the Russians were thinking when they built that thing. It makes the M3 Lee look like a sports car!

They were probably thinking the same thing that the majority of tank designers were thinking at the time and that is that warfare was going to be largely static ala WWI. This tank would be great for breaching massive entrenchments. Unfortunately for the Russians, French, Brits, Poles, etc. the Germans redefined warfare with the blitzkrieg making such monsters as the T-35, Matilda, Char B, etc. largely useless. Fortunately, the Russians, Brits, and US were able to adapt to this new form of warfare and create more mobile tanks such as the T-34, Cruisers, Shermans, etc.
