I think it's a great dio and very well done!
However I would suggest adding more contrast/greys to clothing and gear to show the differences in colour.

I agree to Ant, the color fading to grey-tones looks very good und this effect is truly an eye-catcher!
Also I saw this "2-times in one scene" in another dio, but it was "only" a vehicle.
But building a landscape with figures and other small detail is much harder.
Great work so far!
greetings...

dear Robert,
Would it not be more logical to let these men walk from right to the left? Your dio shows the past on the right side. I think you should let them walk from the battlefield side to the memorial side.

Hey Robert, good to see this has not faded away as a gohst. Turning out rather well I would say. By the way, are you competing with me for the longest time for a dio?

Hi Robert,
This is a very interesting concept and I hope to see more of it.
As Claude had mentioned of the size of the stones are a bit large, but I don't think you will likely be changing them. Do you think if you were to put a bit of weeds or tiny roots in a few places between the them, it would offset their size or add more depth to the wall?
I think you have a very unique idea of a dio.
Tony

This is easily one of the most innovative dioramas I've ever seen. I've been following it from the start and its nice to see it now nearly finished. The layout and the way the color fades to tones of grey falling across the graveyard is just brilliant and inspiring. Such good work Robert.

Ok , work has been finished .. and last weekend I went to one of best competitions in my country... and surprise ... in category vignetes and dioramas of figures (all scales) I was third .. bronze medal ... well some people seems to like my work some didn't (what's that ? half of this dio is gray?????) Unfortunately I din't take any photos of my dio at competition but Hungarian crew did an put it on line among others ... so here's link where you could see lots of beautiful scale models from competition
thanks for following and giving good tips
cheers
