Hi guys,
Sorry I've not been about for a while.......been busy on my latest effort.
This is the Zvezda kit of the M13/40 Italian Carro Amato, medium tank from WWII, North Africa campaign.
Alot of extra work has gone into this as it is a commission build for a friend at work. It is by no means finished as you can tell.. #:-)
I have scratch built the "over hanging" radiator as the kit one is for the early version.
It is painted and "chipped" using my own method as described... DF's chip technique

The model is awaiting it's friulmodellismo tracks and roadwheels before a wash and drybrush. It will then get a nice brush with desert sand pastels to finish and a coat of matt varnish to get rid of the "glare".

I do hope you like the start of this. Please feel free to comment in any way you deem fit.

oh wow DF!

I really like the battered look and the paint chipping. What technique did you use for that? I wanted to do that type of chipping on my panther but never got around to it before my filters and washes. Now it's too late, but I hope to do some chipping on my King Tiger.

Please share your secrets!

I like the use of your paint chipping. Not too few and not too many. Looking good so far. This is one of those kits that needs more weathering before you can see all the little details. I like it.
Please keep us posted as to your progress.

Nice work Martin. Isn't the paint just a bit too glossy (pics can also not tell the truth)?

Well...here goes;
Scoccia:
The paint is a little glossy but I have yet to complete the final paint job, when I do I will spray a matt finish.

PhantomMajor:
The kit is available at www.hannants.co.uk
It is modestly priced at about £15.00. It is injection moulded plastic and actually represents the M14/41. Alot of work is required to make the M13/40 version as shown here. If you want any help on your project, send me a PM and I will help out where I can.

Jejack2:
The paint chip method is my own and is described fully here....... my paint chip method

Thanks to all who makes comment...hope to bring you more very soon.
