Thank You Very Much Bill !!!

I just hope I haven't spent all my bullets on these two because I have so many
more ideas lurking in the back of my head wanting to come out...

I have written down most of the ideas on paper so hopefully within a few months
there will be a couple of new vignettes in the pipeline...

Best Regards

It feels good that we small scale builders can actually stand up to our bigger brothers

Quality is quality in any scale. And the funny thing is ... the images don´t do them justice. I was lucky enough to see them up close and personal ... and they deserved their gold and silver awards ... eventhough it was at my expense ... my hotchkiss dio took bronze in the same grouping.
Great stuff Sven-Åke, you can definately compete with your bigger brothers ... and on bigger stages.

Thanks A Million Frank!!!

When competing in larger scale classes I push myself
that little bit extra so that my stuff at least gets noticed
among the bigger and more complexed entries and
believe me, I never thought this would happen

It was great to see you again Frank and here's a
little idea for you... How about I do a 1/35 dio and
you do a 1/72 for next C4 ??? I think if you transfer
you fantastic skills to 1/72 it would be amazing.

Cheers

I am not sure if I already told you how much I like these !

As I already shamelessly (try to) copy the SAG-way for model-painting, could you explain to me how you get the pictures to look so stunning... Mine end up as just one big blur.

Skål !

Hi Sven-Åke

Im liking the work certainly at such as small scale as well, Congratulations on the medals well deserved I would say, but is there any chance you could send em 10 -12 pictures of each one so I could create a On Display feature here on Armorama to show them in there full glory

you can email the picture to [email protected]

cheers

Cheers Rob!!!

If I'm not mistaken I believe you did at some point actually say that you like them

About the pictures, well first of all I use no flash and I take the pics at my workbench
with only an old lamp lit in the ceiling. That lamp is quite weak but produces an even
light which gives smoth and not too hard shadows. Since I use no flash the shutter
is open between 15 - 20 seconds and the camera is usually set to f11. No real
secrets here. The camera I use is a Canon EOS 20D and I mostly use a 28 - 75 mm
lens unless I want to get close and personal, then I use a Canon Macro lens...

Hope that helps

Thanks Rob!!!

SKÅL!!!

Thanks Keith!!!

I'll see what I can do about the pics... I need to finish up a few bits and pieces
on the Repairshop vignette first and then I will shoot some more pics and
send to you...

Thanks Maestro!!!

It's almost like a lottery when I cut all the parts of the sprues and chuck them into
the box, drop in a few teaspoons of glue and a couple of opened paintbottles and
shake it for a minute or two... I never know what comes out of that box, strange
isn't it that it sometimes turns out half decent

I suspect dear sir that you are speaking of the figure classes which I might
have slightly overbombed but as long as the tables are sturdy and can hold
the weight of those figs I see no reason to slow down the production and go
down on two shifts or less on the assembly lines

Your comments are as always greatly appreciated and meeting you live is
always a pleasure too so until next time that our paths crosses...

Take care and thanks!!!!

Speak about the devil. Stellan Englund posted some pictures on the IPMS-Stockholm homepage from the show in Malmö. Thats 630 kilometers for us Stockholmers to travel one way. Or 392 miles to you transatlantics.

Heres a picture of yours truly discussing one of Sven-Åkes entries. Im the man in black to the right. To the left Bengt Johansson and in the background leaning over is Lars Henåker.

And between, its not the actual flooding thats the problem, it is you make us other look bad....

Cheers

Thanks Sebastian!!!

The picture that Janne posted really puts the size into perspective... I have not
thought much about the size of the vignette myself and when I have worked
with it I usually had it straight under my nose just a few centimetres away and
at that distance it is actually quite big

Cheers
