Thanks to all who have inspired and cheered for me so I had the strenght to finish my two vignettes for
the contest this weekend.

Big thanks!!!

The Repairshop Vignette was not quite finished but I felt it was ready enough to be shown although a lot
of cables and plumbing wasn't ready. Also there was a lot of tools that didn't make it into the diorama
but at 4 o'clock in the morning the last thing I wanted to do was to try and glue little photoetched tools
onto the workbench and think that I wouldn't spill any glue all over my almost finished work... The Stuart
didn't get any of the same treatment as the Sherman did so it's weatering is quite basic...

The Rush Hour vignette stayed basically the same as before with no real changes to it. I felt I had done
what I could with it and to start major surgery on it at the same time as I tried desperately to finish
the Repairshop vignette would have been totally disasterous...

The vignettes were entered in the Diorama class were most of the entries were 1/35 scale so my nerves
was on the outside of my skin the whole weekend but the results were overwhelming to say the least...
The Rush Hour vignette won the GOLD and the Repair Shop followed closely behind and won the Silver...

Big thanks to all who commented my stuff!!!

Thanks Hisham!!!

Right now I feel so so tired after working very hard to finish the vignettes so I need
a few days off to be able to find out what my next vignette will be... The trouble is
that I have to try to be both more original and better than my previous efforts and that
is sometimes nerve-wrecking

Thanks again for all your nice comments!!!

To echo what the others have said, well done and well deserved. Congratulations Sven-Åke, two of the nicest vignettes I've seen in any scale.

Thank You James !!!

I'm very honored that you think that they are that good

I wasn't sure at all about them when I put them on the table so believe me, it was
a wonderful surprise when the results came out...

Cheers

Thanks!!!

Celebrate I will for sure but not until I have regained my strength after a week of non-stop
building and a weekend of competition nerves

More pics will come of the Repairshop vignette as soon as it has become completed
with all the bits and pieces that are missing and also the final weathering must be
done on the Stuart as well

Greatful for your comment!!!

Sven-Åke,

Congratulations, heres three cheers Your work is magnificent, inspirational and very realistic. Your figures are some of the best that I have seen in any scale. Your vignettes are well thought out and gives the viewer a sense of action. Your use of colors and settings are very natural and appealing. Thanks for taking the time to share you builds with us.

Sven, excellent work, congratulations on the Gold and Silver.
When I first saw them I thought they were 1/35, until I looked at the Braille Scale at the top f the page.

I would never forget all you guys who in the first place have inspired me so much...

And if my head feels a bit bigger than normal now it's because it's full of new
ideas for new dioramas and vignettes

Thank You Very Much!!!

Thanks Eddy !!!!

I'm so glad you like it so much and what I feel is most important is that we all inspire
eachother so we can move forward and become better modellers all of us...

I have always worked very hard to create calm and laid back scenes with a touch
of humor sometimes to take the edge off the war / death theme and also enhancing
the pieces with subtle warm colors so the viewer feels peaceful when watching them.

Thanks for your comments Eddy, they mean a lot !!!

Thanks Dave!!!

Once again I must say that the best comments are from those who mistake
the work for 1/35 scale... Thank You Very Much !!!!!

Wonderful mate, just wonderful...
Thoroughly deserved results for these leeedle tanks...
I especially like the winner. You appear to make the figures *pop* with colour and tone.
Great stuff

Thank You Brad!!!

I think that a bit of color here and there could be used more often to brighten
up the models and dioramas... If everything is brown/grey it becomes quite
boring even though it could be labeled as realistic...

Glad you like the colors!!!
