Is it worth buying it?

I know, this is the only one available...

Thanks!

For the sake of "being the only kit in town", it's enough reason to get it. But... you need lots and lots of patience, skill and determination to build this kit (add some AM stuffs to make it better). I had one before but the lack of skill, I've thrown it away.

I donīt know if youīve seen them but I did some photos a while back of a SCUD that I did. There were some very valid comments to take note of. A pig of a kit but if itīs what you REALLY want then go for it, but may I suggest that you use the Eduard photo-etch interior & exterior sets to get it anywherere near a decent standard. Take time in solving the problem of aligning the wheels before gluing anything,( I used plastic rod put in through the chassis ) .Paint all sub-sections before assembly. It was a major project but I enjoyed most of it, especially the end result.

As Ralph said, itīs the only kit in this scale and you need some patience, also some AM-stuff for detailing is recommed. (Eduard has 2 or more sets for inner and outer parts)
Iīve seen some nice built kits from this!
But from my kit, I only have the missile. ;-)

greetings...

Thanks guys!

I really would like to have a major project, and this is quite an intersting subject. Of course, it's far from perfect but I will try to do my best.

Mike, do you have a link for those photos and comments?

Actually we have a SCUD in a military park that I plan to visit, so I will take a lot of shots on this one too (and others for my walkaround page).

Cheers,
Adam

Mike Burkinshaws' SCUD.
Just click on Mikes' PHOTO button, as there are a few others in his gallery.
Nice model Mike.

Thank you Folks!

I think I will go for it...it's about 30€ here.

Today is the big day, if it is available in the shop.

I am still hesitating a little bit, but once I will hold the box in my arms...I will be touched by it

Cheers, Adam

Go for it Adam. I just picked up the same kit about 2 months ago. I only started on the interior. I have other projects I am working on. I don't plan on adding any P.E. sets, I prefer straight out of the box builds, that I correct with scratch building from photo reference. I think it will be a happy project. Good luck. Thanks to the other guy's for posting pictures and information. It keeps me inspired to keep working on this kit as well. - Bobby

Good luck with T-55 Adam. If you want check E-BAY. I have seen the DML-SCUD for sale from time to time. I picked one up from a local hobbyshop in Fairfax Virgina. Hey, if you come up with one of those 1/35 Modern Soviet Armored Recovery Vehicles maybe we could work out a deal. Anyhow, good luck what ever you do. - Bobby

I have chosen a HobbyBoss Leopard A6 instead.

But I will start the T-55 first.

Thank you all!
