This is a variation of the M548 track cargo carrier. I used the AFV Club M-548A1 kit to make this XM45E1 variations. I felt like I needed to do something different from wheel vehicles.go to my web page and click on the XM45E1 title. http://groups.msn.com/armorama/xm45e1.msnw?albumlist=2 I used evergreen plastic stock for the armor build and I used the indi tracks from Academy instead of the tracks by AFV Club. I had a spare set and I liked the looks of them compared to AFV's.

Great idea and superb execution! I have one M548 in "work in progress" stage, but I'll finish it as a regular ammo carrier.
I have two questions - have you seen any pictures of the back of the XM45E1, that would show that the raised floor was indeed used in this variant? I'm still not sure if I will use this part in my model as I have not yet seen a single picture of M548 using it... I expect that such thing could have been used to increase the area of the floor available for cargo, but no pictures seem to prove it - all I have show regular "deep" floor.
And the second question - is the "flammable" text a decal, or was it hand painted?
Regards,
Pawel

I haven't been able to find any picyures of the rear. I assumed that it had the second floor to give the cargo area a flat surface for all the drums or blatters to sit on. The Flammable "decals" are Archer dry transfers. I have only been able to find the flammable decals in black.
Fabio I'm not sure what you mean. I clicked on the url and it went straight to the webshots album.

Strange indeed - now I also can't access your gallery, animal...
But I easily got there the first time, shortly after you sent your original post.
Something must have changed since then.

Pawel
