Mmmmmmm, 1/72 armor. This was a fast and easy build, about 4 days of off and on work. I used MM Acrylics. IDF Armor Sand Grey, Aircraft Interior black Air Brushed on for the exhaust staining. Drybrushed with greys, rusts, and sand, burnt umber oil wash. I added armor plates to the sides of the turred and the mine roller brackets to the bow to make it a late Mk.I. The tow cables were made using thick cotton thread dipped in gunmetal. What do you all think?

Wonderfull little beast...
But I think you should paint in black the panel just above the rear scape door, itīs in reality a rubber band.
Cheers

Thanks guys. No P.E., just scratch built and kit parts. Armoured Sprue, are you talking about the spot between the two horozontal rivited strips above the door?

Very nice work. The 72 scale kits seem to be getting better all the time.

This is well done. I especially like the look of the exhaust stain on the side skirts, and the tracks. Very very good. Congrats.

Really well made and painted. Its hard to believe its only 1/72 scale. Could pass off as 1/35. Its amazing, the amount of detail nowadya on these little suckers. makes one actually think about attempting them again!

Cute IDF tank! May I request some closeup shots of the cables if possible? I have a 1/72 Revell Tiger somewhere in the pile and I'd like to replace the kit cables.

Exactly, it's a rubber band that moves to let that door to open...

Really good model there mate. A little subtle wash of raw umber in the rivets and armour joins would look great to finish it off.

Desert-Fox, I do have an umber wash on it, but the camera does not show it very well. I also wanted to keep the weathering light, because I have never seen Merkavas very dirty.
