This is part II of the thread about Italeri M923A1 truck.

Now that the suspension, shown on previously posted photos, is completed, I moved to detailing the cabin. Resin seats are from Real Model update set, but were heavilly modified. There is a few PE parts from Eduard set, but most new parts were scratch built.

To those that didn't see my previous thread: I disassembled almost finished model and started building it again, that's why there is old paint on many parts. New paint is currently only on suspension and partially on dashboard.

And the last picture that shows the cabin dry fitted to the suspension frame and wheels. Dry fitted resin wheels are from CAM Decals set. This gives some early impression of how the model will look like. Of course the cargo bay will be attached later.

Best Regards,
Pawel

Wow, that's a lot of work on that seat. I hope the door will be left open....

Looks nice so far Vodnik! The Italeri kit needs some tender loving care! Looks like you're going to give it that, and then some...

My goodness. Looks very good.

Pawel, are the dash gagues acetate, decals, or what? If you say that they're hand painted, I will throw down my 20/0 spotter in despair, never to apply detail paint again. #:-)

Fantastic scratchbuilding Vodnik. I have tried doing small pieces and have found out this is not my forté! Anyway ...... just makes me admire more, those that can. Good luck with the rest of the build. Those resin tyres sure are a step up from the Italeri ones!

I've been thinking about getting this kit and then trying to convert it into the wrecker version, Now I'm not so sure. Keep scaring me, I really don't need to spend the money!!!!!!!!!!! Besides, I've got a bunch of M-60's and M-48's I plan on doing conversions on

Part-timer, the gauges are acetate from Eduard PE set. I only added some color to the back of it. So don't worry, I'm not THAT good

Plasticbattle, you are right - the resin wheels improve the kit more than anything else, but these ones I used are a bit too wide. I already modified them using file, so they are not as bad as they were out of the box, but still for better accuracy they should be a bit more narrow. But they look cool anyway

Blaster76,
Have you seen my review of the kit? It is on my webpage in the Reviews section (http://vodnik.net). I tried to describe all the shortcomings of this kit there, so it may help you in your decision to buy the kit. Or scare you away completely...

Thanks for positive feedback, everyone!
