this may be a stupid question ( I am full of those but is this going to be a TRUMP kit "proper" or does this represent the base kit with a conversion?
just curious. Also is trup going to do a release of the bmp with reactive armor? again just curious.
you can email me at [email protected]
thanks!

Hello, as I know "big T" plans different BMP-3-variants.
So I think, there is one or more "base-kits", and different upgrades... like the real ones too, to make the specific variant.
Later we will see, how correct they are.
(if I translated the word "proper" correctly)

greetings...

I'm not realy into the BMP-3 but I kind of stumbled into this link with photos of the vehicle in use on Cyprus:

http://www.greekmilitary.net/CypriotAFV.htm

Seem like the Greek Army have bought them as well.

Not sure if this been up before but I thought some of you might be interested.

Cheers,

Both Cyprus and South Korea have been using the BMP-3 for several years now....I think it came about as a result of some economic trade deals.

Somebody some 6700km away on this planet called Earth thought of BMP-3's and Cyprus at about the same time as I did...

Greece, Cyprus and middle Eastern nations bought the BMP's and spares, S. Korea recieved a small amount of BMP's and T-80Us as a compensation for Russia's national debt in late 1990's. For that matter, I don't know what's taking so long for Academy to make either in of vehicles in plastic

This is an off-topic matter but I highly doubt Academy will make a BMP model. As a Korean-American, I know there still is a strong animosity toward anything Soviet related among S. Koreans because of an ugly history in a struggle against communism and Korean Airline 007 massacre back in 1983. The acceptance of BMP's and T-80's by S. Korean gov't caused a controversy there.

Thanks for the images!
Perhaps "big T" can use them for their BMP-kits.
