The "Axis of Armor" Campaign is scheduled to start February 1st and will run to October 1st. Any Axis armor kit is acceptable. Dioramas are acceptable, so long as the focus is an Axis armor kit. This does not include artillery(unless it is self-propelled) or 'soft-skinned' kit. Tanks, afv, apc, self-propelled arty are all acceptable kits. Please provide pictures of your build up. If this campaign goes according to plan and anybody is up to it, an Allied Armor will begin January 1st of 2011. Beyond that, will be similar campaigns dealing with air power.

Hopefully we didn't peter out at only 4 builders. If so, I will take on a second model for the Axis campaign and seriously consider whether or not to take the time to make up a banner for the Allies build.

Hello Matt,
Count me in. Have you post a message in the Armor/AFV section under the Axis Armor section.
You might get some interest from them also.
Cheers,
Bruce
EDIT: Matt,
You might get more interest if you outline the campaign IE: start and stop time, scale limit if any, so forth. That will make is easier for people to join up if they know what you have in mind for this campaign.
Just my 2 cents.
Cheers,
Bruce

Hi Matt!
One guestion: do you accept Beutepanzers to this campaign? I mean ex-soviet armor (or other nationalities) captured by germans and then marked with balkencross..

Sounds very original. So long as they bare the appropriate markings. Love to see something that isn't German.

Ok, thanks Matt. I have all KV kits, that Trumpeter has released so far and I have long time planned to do KV-1 with german markings. This might be the right motivator. I just have to find out first, what will happen to "On the Western Front" campaign. It was supposed to be going on at same time with this...

Btw: I can sign up with 50 % sure to your Allied Armour campaign on 2011 and most likely it will be another KV. Must be the earliest sign up on this site ever!

well, as 80 procent of my AFV stash is german, I think I'm gonna go with this one, a year is a long long time for me, so I'm going to start 1/2/10 and see how fast it's gonna be,might even get a couple of build in.
hope you don't mind someone finnishing after 2months into the campaign?

P.S. I have not begun the Tiger 1 tank list as 'on the workbench'. If the workbench was in its box awaiting assembly and paint, then it would qualify. Just one of the kits I've been holding onto for this campaign. Yeah, I was planning that far ahead.

The campaign is being pushed back to Feb. 1, as I forgot to register it. Take the time to consider how you want your depiction to look.

Campaign Approved! I changed the start and end dates on the proposal to 2/1/2010 and 10/1/2010. This thread isn't too long so I renamed it to make it the main campaign thread.

Hello Matt,
You might want to change the dates in the rules to show the new start date of Feb, 1. 2010.
Someone might start the build after Dec. 31 2009 by mistake.
Just a thought,
Cheers,
Bruce

Howdy Y'all

I just enlisted. I plan on doing Dragon's Pz.Kpfw.IV Ausf.D mit 7.5cm Kw.K.40 L/43. I just got the kit over Christmas and assembled some aftermarket goodies, not that this kit needs much to it. I might do the 26 Pz. Div. Italian Front 1944 scheme. I am also doing some research to see if it would've been at Cassino or Anzio.

I'll try to do in-progress photos often but I don't have a digital camera handy.

Y'all take care,
Don "Lakota"

Question:

On the campaign page it states "Kit must be historically accurrate". Does this mean

a) No "Paper Panzers", no post WWII stuff, no Tortoise in german colors etc

or

b) Must be a correct model of a specific vehicle (3. Tiger from the 2. company...)
