Hello, the Lic is not a clearly different version of the merkava 4, some elements of the package are gradually fielded on normal tanks. Now all of them have the exhaust covering mesh and almost all of them the belly armor. Other components of the Lic upgrade are the heavier side skirts, the mesh protecting the periscope on the turret. Newer merkavas also have an additional loaders hatch on the turret. It is possible to see on photos all sorts of combinations, there is no real standard...

I deal with Squadron and usually get the notices of what is coming out from Hobby Boss (and Trumpeter through Stevens) a couple of months ahead of time, and this one is not even on the radar.
When both Hobby Boss and Trumpeter give us a release date, it is when the kit is ready to be shipped from the factory, and not when it is in the retailer's hands. Add about a month (sometimes more) before the US Suppliers get it, and another week to 2 weeks (depending on when the retailers get it) before it is on your LHS' shelves.
That being said, there hasn't been anything shown, other than the picture of the real tank, anywhere regarding Hobby Boss, no prototype build ups, no box art, nothing. So in all likelihood...we aren't going to see it soon.
