I don't know what this thing is called but I build it.

Caveman- That tube is part of the exhaust system for the bilge pumps. It pumps out water when conducting amphibious operations, although I doubt the IDF does much of that. Nice looking build thus far.

Hello all and thanks for that info "Red4". Guys I had to stop and take some time and make my self a decal sheet for the "Magen David Adom" Red Star of David.

Yep and now I'm glad I made my next sheet of decals like I have with my Placards decals. Some of these will be use on the exterior of this APC and then on my Magen Hammer project. Now on the interior I will only use one really small one. In my next progress photo I will show witch one I have used, and on wich item.

Thanks for looking in guys and thanks for you comments...

Ya... This is a really great build, you got a real knack for scratchmaking details. I hope to make an SLA Zelda out of my Trumpeter 1/72 M113 ACAV and this build is very inspiring! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks "nakpadon and drew_youngman" . drew_youngman building in 1/72 is not easy but lot's of fun.

I started to add the photo etch parts. I started on the front and then the rear. I wanted to use the fuel can but mini of the photo from 1982, showed the rear cans removed.

I drilled the bottme holes out to add some realisum.

UMMM Bad photo here's a better one.

I didn't like the gaps and unlevel of the top cover so I stoped work on the photo etch stuff to fill things. I used .020 sheet to fill and cover things.

That is one amazing interior! Which I had more luck with my bradley that I tossed a year a go (bad kit). Great build so far. I live to see these kinds of things!

@Captin_Caveman_III,

I hadn’t noticed this build until just today. You’re doing a very clean and detailed job of it and most of the detailed items are scratch built not to mention both accurately depicted and made. Very impressive work! Could you possibly elaborate a little on how you’ve managed to produce your decals they really look the part especially the data cards on the inside of the vehicle. Your figures are also realistically posed in action and very detailed.

Looking forward to seeing more of your work on this build. Are you planning to place this on a setting of some sort?

Now the placards come from and academy M113 APC kit. Go here to copy and make your own decal sheet. http://spruebender.net/forum2/index.php?topic=501.45 Scroll down to see the images about the placard decals.

@Captin_Caveman_III,

Thanks for the speedy reply it is much appreciated. I have saved the pages from the links to my computer. I’m hoping I can do a set of numbers for a 72nd scale project that I’m currently working on and will be using your tutorial as a guide in helping me to produce the needed decals. Thanks so much!

In my last posting here I had forgot to mention that you almost had me fooled! For a moment there I was thinking that you had posted a series of photographs showing the interior of the real vehicle for comparison. It’s the photographs of the interior with the light shining through the roof opening. When I didn't see your build after scrolling down the page I realized this was your build. I’m very impressed!

Again, thanks a bunch . . .

I have been work on adding equipment to the roof and sides. I'll try and post some new photos as soon as all items are dry.
