Academy. Started this ages ago and keep leaving it and coming back to it. I'm using the Eduard AF set on this one, which is ok but lots of bits go into the spare box as they're no improvement on the kit parts, and in some cases are much worse, i.e. too thin (scale) etc.

looking real good !
But it's a bit too clean to my taste, most of all on the ground (that's driving my girlfriend unhappy sometimes). #:-)

Ahhh the M10 - makes me miss building my AFV Club version...

Dang it - just too easily distracted...

I like the Academy interior so far. Are you going to leave it like this - or "muck it up" a bit? You know Army guys really leave a mess behind themselves - sometimes...

When I built mine, I used Archer's dry-transfer set for the interior. Try it - you'll like it!

Vinnie

Interesting pics, and very much appreciated, as I'm about 90% through completion of an out of the box AFV M10 ---so its neat to compare interiors.

Your interior work is well done and certainly shows better than the stock AFV interior.

One interesting little point, the AFV directions show the fire extinguisher mounted on the drivers side exterior hull,--- and I noted the extinguisher on yours is mounted in the crew compartment---which intuitively seems to make more sense.

In addition, the ammo tube stacks on your M10 here are certainly an improvement over the stock AFV ones.

This is looking good Vinnie.

Looks great to me. Can you tell us what was kit and what was Eduard?

Hey Guntruck! Yeh I will muck up the interior a little before I close it up......the rust and scratches are yet to appear.

Steve? As far as I know there was a fire extinguisher where you see it on the rear firewall AND on the driver's exterior hull. The ammo racks are basically OOB except for the straps around the centre of each stack which are oart of the Eduard kit.

Halfyank...... From what you can see in the pics, PE bits include the straps around the centre of the ammo racks and the clips at the bottom of each strap, the fire extinguisher brackets, machine gun straps, instrument panel, headlight guards, tail light guards, chains on the fuel filler caps etc, and the spare tack brackets on the outside of the hull. Hope this helps.
