10/10 for the idea.
10/10 for the layout so far.
But won't the base get too big?

This one is getting better and better!
There's just one thing.... why's the skeleton in a cave?
I think some of the guys did have a point in half burriyng the thing, but the cave doesn't make sence. Maybe add it half into the riverbed and halfway in to the riverbedside?
This way you can see the skeleton and it makes sence, because of the eroding water and wind...
Anyway.. I'll keep watching!
Beer & chips anyone??

Hola caballeros,
little update…
tank is in position…
added a agave that I made out of paper...
will make another one and place it somewhere else and something prickly…
the dino is in his final position and not in a cave(what was never planed)...
marks in the Sand...
now I have to work on the crew and more detail work has to be done….
hope you enjoy it…

Holger, a lot better setting than the cave. I'm not sure about the color of the skeleton though. I think it might be more the color of the surrounding rock, maybe a bit darker than the rock, but, looking real good. The vegitation came out rather nice I think. A bit of dry brushing will bring out the curves and veins. I like where you are going with this. I have the old Glenco model of the brontosauruse ( spelling ?) skeleton in the stash for an archeological dio in the future. Maybe not so far in the future as seeing yours has sparked an intrest for something non-military for a change.

This is one of the most original dioramas I've seen in a long time. Very creative. Well planned and executed. Nice job!

You have done a certainly very very original diorama there. Your groundwork is perfect and the buried dino is superb.
Thanks for sharing.

For the buried dino, you can't have bones sitting in mid-air. Everything needs to be at ground level. There's nothing to attach the bones together. It appears that some of the claw bones are simply floating in air.

...this is how it looks a the moment.
I worked a lot with pigments to give the dessert ground some kind of attraction
my "Palaeontologist"...
Luiggi starring at the monster...
and the dino... the bones are not in the air anymore(looks better to me)
have to add a brush, some buckets and some wooden boxes...what do you think???

Oww...man...
This has turned out fantastic!!
The way the skeleton sits in the rock partially exposed, the groundwork itself and the tank, simply splendid.
I think the one-eyed guy has a certain resemblance to someone we all "know"...
I can almost here the crew say to him:"Pardone, do you know there is a war going on??"

Hola Holger!
very brilliant idea!
To tell the truth I don't like very much the paleontologist: too Adolf like...
Then a fiew spelling annotation (in case you ever want to make a label for your dio):
Luiggi is mispelled. The correct Italian name i Luigi (single "g").
also Francisco is not correct: the Italian version of the name is Francesco (with the "e").
ciao and kee up with the wonderful job.

great work but i have to agree with first thought of the alcove cave where a lot of animals crawl to this shaded area to die off and also the first light color was the ticket due to the aged animals of that time to be discovered in the 1940's great idea - Brock Beckstedt

This is such an interesting and original idea.
Seeing this progress has been a real pleasure, but I have to agree that the adolf mustache could do with being changed

Holger,
This little diorama is soooo cool!
The only item I can suggest is to "dust up" the clothes on the figures, since EVERYTHING would get the talcum powder like dust all over.
I also would have cut apart the bones of the dino to make it more realistic for petrified bones that have been uncovered. But too late for that.
Great work and a very original ides!
