We have hit the magic 3000 member mark. Majic for me anyways because threeeee....is a magic number.... hmmm.... a faint schoolhouse rock memory there.

Welcome to all the great new members who have signed on and here's to the future!

Some things I have on the planning board.

1. PhotoPost picture posting board
This is a great piece of software we have already acquired. I have been futzing with it on and off for a few months trying to get the development work done to integrate it with Armorama's member database. Great news! They are now doing a beta version that will support PostNuke (the software this site was built on). I will hopefully be able to offer every member 2-5 mb of space, with the option for more at some reasonable fee that will go to help support the server. So...soon...soon.

2. Upgrade the Campaigns Area.
Once PhotoPost is in place it will work well as a Campaign photo-posting system and commenting board. I also want to finish the campaign submission and administration functions that are long overdue.

3. Monthly Newsletter
Once some of the above is in play I want to do an initial mailing to all registered memebers to let them know about all these changes and what's now available in the way of photo-hosting. This will hopefully be a monthly newsletter and users will have the option to unsubscribe if they don't want to get more than issue 1.

4. PX Stores
I still haven't given up on this notion of offering a really good shopping cart and store system to some of our burgeoning entreprenuers out there.

The DSB approaches our first major bench mark (100 piggies)!!!!! Finally we hit 3000 members in what has become my home on the internet!!!!! Wow, 3000 members. I think it's a great tribute to not only Jim for making this such a great site but also to all the members who make it a place where people want to visit.
