Hey guys, Im looking for an interior kit for the Dragon T34/76 (6205) and cant seem to locate one. Im primarily interested in doing just the turret, but this version has the huge hatch so I may end up having to do the whole thing (not interested in doing the engine compartment on this build). If anyone can point me to a good interior kit, I would be grateful. I checked Barrel Store and came up empty.

Thanks! Their site says that its not available or may have been discontinued. Verlinden seems to make one though.

Like a lot of TWS sets for the T-34 their interior for the -76 is not particularly accurate with a lot of errors, especially for a Model '40 or '41.
The Verlinden set isn't any better and in some ways worse.
I hadn't noticed that the Trakz interior was OOP, sorry about that.

What about the AFV Club kit .... full interior and free T34 for the spare box for approx the same money as both TWS and Verlinden?
It might not be 100% accurate, but it would be a good starting point, considering youŽll only be looking through hatches?

Steve and guys-
I have been trying to track down a Trakz set for quite a while. The individuals who have them aren't parting with them.
Squadron owns the molds now and has no plans to re-release it.
Anyway that is the result of my searching- I posted wanted ads for it, watched e-bay for months and contacted the guy who did the masters and Squadron.
I recently did a turret interior on a Dragon Formochka and I am currently doing one on the Dragon T-34 with cupola and I used the AFV club T-34/76 parts on each one.

I fortunatly have it .... and can take some photographs and post whats included in the Trakz set. A simple comparison with whats in the AFV club set will let folks know what else is needed. CanŽt do it in the next 2 weeks, as my T34 has to finished for a competition, but will do it then, for those interested.

Hey guys,
Mark - Thank you for your information... I surely didnt want to buy something that was not accurate...and dont worry about them being OOP. Its not your fault LOL!
Frank - is that AFV Club kit the one with the see-through turret? If so, thats not a bad idea!
Steve - I would love to see pics if you would be kind enough to post them. Good luck at the competition as well.

Hey Steve-
you mixed up Frank and I, but Frank is a good guy so no worries!
Here is the kit I would get if I were you:
https://armorama.kitmaker.net/review/4219
The turret interior will work out great for you. You'll still have an engine and hull interior you can work with. (it has some issues all tough to see through the hatches). you'll have some extra stamped roadwheels too.
And remember- this is a limited edition kit! Which means in a few years SOMEONE will want those clear parts....
At the moment the AFV Club kit is a bargain as an aftermarket set for the Dragon kits. IMHO.
Good Luck with it.

Hey Steve, thanks for the link to the AFV kit. I think Ill take your recommendation as it just makes a lot of sense in the long run. Im sure this will not be the only T34 I build. I happen to like them quite a bit. Should the Dragon hull upper work ok with the AFV lower? Ive never kitbashed before so it may be a dumb question.

Is this definitely the right TWS interior you're referring to? While it's derived from the same basic set as STZ001, which was for the Tamiya kit, STZ001A does incorporate some changes made while it was being updated for the Dragon kit.
I guess a lot depends on how you intend to present it - if I was going for a heavy cutaway, I'd have started with one of the AFV Club kits. However, all of my various interior sets are intended only to be viewed through open hatches, in which case the TWS set is just fine for my 76s, and I've got an old Jaguar T-34-85 interior plus the Hussar Factory 183 turret for a case where I just plan to have a turret hatch open.
That said, I have to admit I wouldn't mind seeing the T-34-76 given the sort of treatment that CMK has given to a lot of other kits.
However - AFV Club get good mileage out of their molds for the most part, I wouldn't be totally surprised to find the T-34-76 interior set being released on its own.

Hi Al,
Yeah, I intend to only display this with the hatch open (The big one-piece on the B version of the 34). I may or may not have the drivers hatch open..Im thinking not open at this point so really the only build up I will do is in the turret and through the crew compartment depending on how much can be seen.

Well, I made a command decision yesterday and opted to get the AFV kit with the full interior.
Steve Reid had recommended a different kit, but my LHS and I could not find anything on it other than it was a new release and was not out yet. In comparing all the features between the two, it appears as if this is the same kit re-issued. Does anyone know what the difference might actually be? Cost was about $20 more for the AFV kit than the Dragon kit I originally wanted to use. Here is a review from Missing Lynx:
AFV Club T34/76 1942 Factory 112 Kit No. AF35S51
EDIT: I found out that the difference in the two kits is that the No. 35143 kit is not supposed to have the clear parts but the kit I bought does (No. 35S51) according to Perth Military Modeling. So its basically the same kit which is great.
