Excellent model and as a former squaddie myself who spent years around armoured units, the green and black paint is spot on and probably the best representation I have seen on a British MBT / AFV model of the era.

The figure as you identify is a WW2 / Korea era figure with a "Pixie" suit and as such isn't suitable for this vehicle. "Accurate Armour" have lots of 70's / 80's era 1/35 figures to go with this vehicle.

Fabulous! - thanks for sharing the pics.

Nice very nice indeed looks great,I only ever saw them from the back as it towed us,
That commander reminds me of a tiffie we used to have,He hung about with a squadron leader that went about wearing a ww1 tin pot and great coat

Thanks for the during construction pic, definately looks an involved build, I'm almost convinced that this is what I'm going to do with my chieftain, just need to save up for the AA convertion kit ,

Hi,
this is a really nice-looking conversion. You gave also it some life with the crew and the engine on the rear deck.
To me, the only point, if I may, is that some metal parts are too shiny. You should try to tone them down with a dark wash.

oliver
yes of course your right ,but as said previous I need a break from it.
Maybe I will address these issues another day
I find that if you keep fiddling with a kit you start to break of pieces and do more damage.Besides other things are calling and as its for my own pleasure and not competition i'm happy to have gone so far with it.
but Ill take on board what you say and maybe have another go another day .
but I can confess there is a lot more wrong with it that could be more right
but other things are calling me for now
till then
