Not commission work.. this blog is for my own personal interest....I'm going to build these 2 versions, each in different set ups.. I will have to scratch build another M1200 as well.. .. won't be too hard as I have photo references. I can forsee I will need to get some assesories like the continuos tie-downs,etc.. a hopefully an interior if someone makes one!

But let me tell you a little story first.....
When Trumpy released it..I bought 4 kits.... Then NWM came out with the M1200 conversion and I knew I had to follow suit....But with the company's sudden holding off their production (at least for the moment) .. I still hung on with a glimmer of hope.
If months go by and still nothing..then I figured I'll just scratch build the darn thing if I have to! But one would think that with 10 hour work days for just modelling, I'll have loads of time to do so. Not really! Not with all the silent projects I'm invested into for my humble one-man company.

Well my "hope" paid off and I was really really fortunate to get a hold on one of NWM's kits by luck as I missed the original posting......and the package arrived Today!!! So I squeezed in an hour to clean up most of the parts..

...so drool guys..there're only a few of these around.

BTW, I'm not going to commend much on accuracy and blah blah.. But I will say that the quality of the resin is GOOD, and NWM did put effort into where they located the "sprues" which certainly helps the ease of removing the parts with minimum or no risk from damage.

Thanks for sharing with us....

I'm holding onto hope that the M1200 gets released anyway. After my current M1117 build is done, I would love to add an M1200 to the collection.

I will closely follow this.

Is this actually out yet? It's been listed on Voyager's site for ages as "coming soon" but I don't see it stocked anywhere.

It's also not too clear from the images on Voyager's site whether or not the update set they will produce includes the replacement resin wheels shown in the images, or whether those are the accessory set mentioned in the photo - the photos all specify PE35347 and PEA199 part numbers, although they don't yet list what PEA199 is, so you're left guessing whether or not it's all of the various resin parts, or just the wheels, or something else entirely.

Henk...Yup, the lucky bastard I am HEH HEH...and I hope you guys keep drooling and maybe this will help motivate NWMs to get their kit out!
I did see the Voyager etch..and I'll probably "have to" get 4 of that too..

BTW, knowing Voyager had posted 2 sets of ID no.s on their pictures...the photoetch and tires will probably be separate kits.

Also, I released I didn't say in my initial post...but NWM's kit parts are really superb particularly in regards to fit. Excluding the wheels..there's 50 parts in all!.
Plus, and just notice the attachment points (rectangular strips) on each side of the vision blocks.. If you cut clear sheet or those reflective confetti thingys..they will fit in nice! Of course it would have been better if these clear sheets came with the kit...

So, a quick question. The ASV with the LRAS3 and the different turret, does it have a different designation form the M1117 with the m2 and Mk19? I figure it might, but so not know for certain how it would be identified. There were a few that had just arrived as I was leaving in Dec 08 in Talil.

I see, it is all coming together now. Thank you. I will look forward to seeing this build progress. Do you by chance know of a company that is makinga scale model of the updated tow2 ITAS that replaced to old tow2?

Just to clarify!
The NWM kit was masters were produced two years before the Trumpeter kit was released.
I do not plan on releasing the M-1200 conversion anytime soon, will wait to see if Trumpeter does one first.

However our tires for the M-1117 and M-1200 are currently available and are not resin knock-offs of the kit tires.

Recieved the stuff today. I will post pics when I get my camera back.
If the tires are supposed to be bigger than Trumpy's rubber..then bad news cause Voyager's resin tires are just a copy. Good thing is that they come with the metal guards -which were not included with the resin tires from NWM.
(Please note that I did not get my M1200 conversion direct from Chris/NWM..)
OK the Good-er news is that Voyager's photoetch undate is GREAT! A Sh*t load of details finer exhaust, metal antenna mounts, resin water cans, smoke grenades..asll for a good price, and it includes those Tire Guards!

Comparison pics soon...

Hi Olivier,

When I get my camera I will post pics... Not very far in these builds..Organised and prepared the plastic parts for the 4 kits.
The task will be scratch building another 50 parts to make the other M1200 conversion, particularly the Cupola.. since the guy who was supposed to sell me this part did not come true. I am also going to make a new LRAS3
...and I am really being drawn into making the interior..

NWM tires comes with the wheel guards? and they are handed at that unlike the Trumpeter kit.
Sorry, should have got them from me and not a shady character!

Thanks Nick, beware of not being caught by the AMS or the rivet counting one ... but I fear it's already too late
