Here is another piece I have been building up and improving upon off and on. I built the M932 a few years ago as an A1. I recently added resin A2 wheels/tires from Hobby fan. The tractor was converted from the Italeri M923A1 kit using sheet styrene and a 1/32 5th wheel.

Here is the truck:

The new resin wheels/tires:

This is the new load for it. It is a 1/32 Esci 20' container and trailer. I built them pretty much straight out of the box with the addition of glad-hands added to the tongue. I also added some stowage on top of the tongue as well. It went together pretty well.

With the truck:

A modified (shortened) AMT/Monogram 1/32 box trailer was the former load. I guess I'll just have to build another bobtail to mount this one on now.

More pics here.

As always, all comments welcomed.

Thanks for looking.

The 5th wheel looks like the real thing and the weathering on the tires is perfect. Nice to see something other than armor ALL the time.

Thanks Dave, on both accounts.

Jeff, I do like to do a few different things from tanks myself. I like to keep it interesting. Thanks for the compliments.

Thanks Keenan, glad you like it. The trailers are long out of production, but come up on eBay from time to time. There are a few of the AMT/Monogram box trailers there now. Good luck.

I like the idea of "updating" an old build Gino, weathering i dont gotta ask about, ive tried your method and its very realistic. But one question, the weapons station if thats right, it seems kind of exposed, any insight on this Gino?

Looks great Gino, I like seeing the non military equipment mixed in here and there from time to time.

Well Done,

Hi Gino

I like it, the model looks great.

It's hard to tell from the pictures. Is there any visible signs of the two scales or they match pretty good, are the wheels about the same size?

I was thinking of doing this in a future scratch build to same me some time in the build.

Cheers,

Ralph

Thanks all, glad you like it. I like to step outside the box every once in a while and build something out of the ordinary.

Calvin, the weapons station is accurate. Before the days of uparmoring vehicle, that is how it was, all hanging out in the open.

Ralph, the two scales are close enough that they mix well. The tires are about the same size, so it doesn't look akward. I have mixed 1/32 and 1/35 often and I think they work fine together.
