hi all.
here is what i've been doing for the last 8 modeling hours... just a small dio base to put a tank on, i've not decided the final tank to put.... thats why there are no track marks in the grass yet, i'll create those when i and sure of the size..... it might be a marder III ausf: h or maybe a panzer III N.
what do you think so far? ideas welcome, its only the 3rd base i have created.
just put the stug III b to give an idea of size.
cheers

Great base, good angle. I feel it looks too small for a full tank to be shown so you could maybe try using figures only. Like have some walking across the tracks sort of thing.
Or you could put a motorcycle on it I noticed there is an MP set from Miniart coming out so that could be a good idea, you dont see many motorcycles on the dioramas, and they are always great when they are.
Keep up the good work

thanks bowman, i agree with you about using jsut a motobike or small kit for it, i like the idea and will use it in the future..... however this time i havent picked the kit for the model to go on it, my girlfriend treated me thats why i didnt know which kit would go on it, she asked for a list of ideas and picked one...... so i can now say it will be a panzer III N.
i have the tamiya kit and i have a set of fruils to go on it so it fits over the tracks well and has the hollow guide-horns.
having used this base as a test for new ideas and technic's for building i will next do a bigger base with more groundwork and i think a tank with a motobike giving new orders to the commander of the tank.
please keep the comments coming and soon i'll add some more photos.

Howdy Y'all
I agree the base is really small and figures would be better. Just look at how the Stug III covers up all your work. Personally I would go with an armored car or 4x4 or some figures only. I like the colorful groundwork and think it would be a pity to hide it.
That's my 2 cents worth. The only person you really have to please is yourself. Good Luck,
