hye guys

This is my entry for the CWCO !
I've got big internet connection problems at home (I surf with AOL...) so I could only post pictures from work this morning... Now is it serious to post pictures instead of working ?

This is the SKIF T64BV. I added Eduard PE. Appart from that, I only added the wiring for the big spotlight, made from soldering wire. the markings are Mig transfers.
That was a rather difficult project. But now I know I'll be able to tackle the BMP3.

the paint is tamiya JA green... slightly lighter on some panels... wash in dark brown... DB in light green... dusted withtamiya buff... a bit of pastels...
And here we have a very little weathered tank on the training ground.

Please feel free to say what you think, I'm not afraid of critics.

NIce! Great sheen to the armour. Sometimes it can be too flat, even if the real thing is dead flat, scale effect means that a 1/35th should have a little sheen and yours looks perfect. The tiniest thing I would have done is tone down the black on the smoke discharger caps, maybe a little drybrushing? Great model though! Well done!

Pen:

Congrats on this Cold War vehicle. I think the paint work on this is stunning, and appreciate you giving the paint/wash/dry brush colors used. I just can't compliment you enough regarding your paint/weathering technique here. The dusting on the rear end and road wheels, as well as the brown wash, are weathering combinations that really compliment each other and make this an outstanding vehicle. Wow.

There is one major criticism of this vehicle, ----it's done by a Wolf, and not a Pig. (lol)

Justing kidding Pen, this is good stuff, with no criticisms on my part. Congrats again.

ps: What sort of "brown" did you use for the wash? Thanks
Steve

Thank you guys !

About the dark brown wash : it's done with a mix of oil paints.
I took a bit of brown (probably burnt sienna... but I'm not sure), and I mixed a very little bit of black, so that it became... dark enough...
I'm sorry, that's how I learned to cook food and now I apply the same technique to painting. #:-)

Very nice clean job! The only point that I have is a personal one. I would be more comfortable with a little more fading on top and a little more darkish earth underneath and around the wheels. But, that is only my opinion. Great build.

Nice looking T-64. I like the tonal effect on your painting and how you approached your drybrushing. Your method of weathering looks like you airbrushed it in some areas ? I have thought of trying that was well. Great work so far. Its always good to see pics of the unpainted kit. It shows the amount of work that went into it.

Cheers !

Very nice kit PenPen. I like your paint job as well. I agree the black smoke grenade launchers look a little too black, but that's OK.

I noticed in the picture that shows the direct rear of the tank (#5) and a couple of the shots that include the left side that the rear portion of the track looks like it is coming off. Myabe he threw track while pivot steering on that dirt road

That is one very impressive build, I hope my T-64 looks half as good as yours.
