Hi Guys,
I didn't do this model. It's from my best bud here Cliff aka Mr. Roo. From where I look, very impressive scratch build.

Hi all. Dave was kind enough to post the pics for me. This is a 25lb short (Aust) field gun. Used as a mountain gun in the pacific and could be airdropped and transported easier than the 'normal 25lb'er. they were often towed by jeeps.
Base kit is tamiya gun kit with a scratch built carriage and short barrel. These had no shield and the barrel at the moment is in the travel position.
all comments welcome. :-)

Nice scratchbuilding Cliff. Is it plasticard sheet on a frame of rod/strip?

That's why the brown parts look familiar. I'm building the exact same kit OOB

Nifty conversion Brother Pouch. The frame/carriage fit is concise and true----like all the work you do! Keep us posted on this one please.

great scratch build on the arms cliff , they look like they came from another kit . it would take me 3 or 4 attempts to even get close to something that even looked close to the trail arms . i will be watching for more of your work , good stuff !!

Nice start, Cliff.
You mention that it is in travel position and that it can be towed by a jeep. Is this your plan?

thanks for the comments guys.
the carriage is 2mm (80thou) card cut to shape and then .5 X .5mm (20thou X 20 thou) strip was glued around the edges. The round rods through it were hollow on the real gun but I have used solid rod for strength. The round weld marks at the ends of these were punched out of 10thou card with a 4mm then a 3mm punch, glued in place and covered with glue. After a few moments it was marked with the back of a scalpel blade.
When finished I MAY do a jeep to go with it but I have not made up my mind yet as I cannot get an ordinary jeep kit here at the moment.

I am building this one as a trial Dave BUT! I will be doing masters of it very soon so that it can be released in kit form.
