Overall, good work. Your tank depicts one of the later rebuilds, based on an M48A2, a batch issued from 1968 on (Tamiya's kit depicts the 1962 batch, based on the M48A1, but it also has the vision riser for the cupola, a common retrofit). The front end modifications are there (later style headlights), but there were also changes to the rear. Ordinarily, there should be a couple of heavy, square-section bars welded to the top and outside edges around the exhaust grill to act as a bumper--the grill slats themselves were easily crushed if the tank backed into something, and the bars helped prevent this. The guards around the tail lights were also strengthened for the same reason. Some of these later tanks also had the Y-shaped blast deflector on the 90 mm gun, though the original T-shaped deflector could be seen as well.
The weathering on the exhaust grills themselves should be fresh, black soot, as the AVDS-1790 diesel engine generally ran very dirty. It might cover the entire grill, or be limited to the small square section on the right, if the internal parts for the deep wading exhaust stack were installed (which did happen with Marine tanks, less often with Army vehicles).
