New update after chipping
the lower hull is almost not chipped because it will be dusty and covered with various leakage of grease, oil, rain, etc

Absolutely stunning Yvan. Love the faded appearance and the weathering. The built up dirt on the hull looks great. Nice one.

Yvan,
A stunning model to say the least! Absolutely fantastic!
You say there were 100 of these beasts built? How many were destroyed and how many were retained by the Germans? I can almost hear the groaning out in Cyberland now. (Some of these tanks had longer service with the Germans than the French).

I know the 82nd Airborne at Normandy went up against Germans using old Hotchkiss and Renault tanks. I wonder if any of these D2 tanks were involved. Just curious. Thanks again for sharing your wonderful work.

Tks Jeff

As far as I now, almost all the 100 D2 were destroyed
a couple of the last produced ones ( maybe less than 5 ) were withdrawn to the south of France in June but disappeared later and they are no remaining traces in the archives after 1942

None was ever used in german panzer unit

One is known to have been sent to Germany and was used as "flowerpot" in front of a building in Munich

Thanks Yvan. Here's a link to some interesting facts about this vehicle.

Your build sure got me interested in this vehicle. I really do love those early war French vehicles. I wanted to get the Tamiya B1 bis....it was just a little too expensive for me. Keep up the fantastic work.
