I'll come up with a figure of some sort (probably 120MM or bigger, but maybe 1/35) for this campaign

Vlad:
My suggestion is for a figures category, real simple... single figure/2-figure Vignette any scale, any subject(from N. Afica of course). If it's possible and if there is interest.

this baby belongs to Vlady so its up to her!

Have you checked "her´s" avatar??
I would like to join in on this campaign as well, but I will hold off for "definate" entry when starting and finishing dates are announced. I am already underway with Barborossa, have committed to the tank destoyer campaign and the trench artillery campaign. Dont want to bite off more than I can chew!

Count me in as a "definite probable" - the start and end dates will be the deciding factor for me, but this sounds like a good campaign for a newbie to cut his teeth on.

Well, guys in the rules were both armor and aircraft categories but i will add figures too if more will be interested. the numbver of categories is 5 for the moment but probably there'll be 7 with the figures. I am writing the rules and i allready sent a first version of them to gunnie. The starting data that i thought of is the 15th of September(when i start school) and the ending one to be the 1st of February.

P.S. And Phantom, i'm not a girl. I am a boy and i can prove this. Why is everybody calling me a girl? I got a mail from a fellow around(no names) a few month ago and i was asked if i am a girl. This is weird. I think the aliens are with us

no problem. now lets return to our campaing. as long as gunnie didn't replayed to my e-mail, i will post the rules and regs here.

The name of the campaing will be simple “Under The Sun”,
The stating date will be the 15th of September and the ending date will be the 1st of February.

The Rules And Regs:

This campaing is going to be both an aircraft and armor campaing so everybody on the site can sign in. Any models representing a armor vehicles or plane that actually took part in the North Africa Campaing can be used.

There will be 5 categories:
1. Armor kit built out-of-box. This is a armor vehicle with no aftermarket parts; however, stretched sprue antennas and grab rails are allowed. This is to give people with limited budgets or experience an equal opportunity to participate.
2. Armor kit modified. This is a armored vehicle with any aftermarket accessories or scratch built items added. Kit bashed entries fit this category.
3. Aircraft kits out-of-box. This is a aircraft kit with no aftermarket parts.
4. Aircraft kits modified and scratch build kits. In this category planes with aftermarket accessories or scratch build items added. Fully scratch build models fit in this category.
5. Dioaramas. In this category will fit aircraft, armor, figures and diorama accessories. In this category any OOB or scratch build is allowed.

Any suggestions are welcome and the ones who want to take part please tell me.

And for PorkChop, i will think about the figure stuff, but i will need to see that somebody else is interested.

Hey vlady, I might enter, but will have to see. I think you ought to include a figure section as well. While I will most likly do an armor piece for this campaing I think its good to have options.

well, the figure ones will fit in the diorama category, because building only a figure would not be fare for the other members who will build armor and planes and dioramas. so if u want a figure u can put it in a dio ansamble.

I'm in, but just a thought, you might want to add an unarmored catagory or specify that the armor catagory includes soft skins as well as armor. We wouldn't want to leave out the LRDG and SAS vehicles. The tough part for me will be choosing only 1 or 2 things to build (or going seriously over my Sept model budget).
