Hi Gary. I like the base a lot and also the damaged KV. Donīt know if its the photographs, but the rust appears very monotone in colour, as does the rubble. Id try to add a little contrast to this and vary the colours a little.

I have to agree with Frank concerning the colors. The bricks from the rubble can be red, but red dirt? I know Leningrad saw more than its share of bloody fighting during the war, but I didn't know it was THAT bad! Also, judging from all the rust, it looks like your tank has been sitting there a long time. In my mind, I can't picture a tank sitting untouched for two years in the middle of a battlefield. How about some stray bullet dents or shell holes? And also, the tank may be stationary now, but it's still a perfectly good scrap metal heap. Could some desperate defender have cut off some of the armor plates, or at least opened up the hatches to rummage inside for spare supplies? The tank looks too complete (except the tracks) to be in a war zone. I realize it may be too late for those additions, but even if you were to leave it as is, it would still be a damn impressive diorama!

really nice scene and wonderful rust work on the KV Gary. like Frank mentioned, the groundwork could be varied and earth tones added. perhaps an over spray of Buff very diluted with your airbrush aimed at a sharp angle to the rubble so that it doesn't spray into the recesses. cheers, mh

Looking great Gary, I have no further suggestions from what has already been said here.
