Brilliant paint job Dave.
I'm going to be painting my ZSL-92 in Chinese tri-tone so I have a couple questions for you:
Did you paint freehand?
What colors did you use?

Thanks for that info Dave.
The painting instructions for the ZSL-92 indicate XF-59 Desert Yellow but to my eye XF-60 Dark Yellow looks like a better match. I'll probably darken it down with some XF-59 though.

Looking good Dave.
Any thoughts as to how you are going to weather it?

Nice subtle weathering Dave. I wish there were more easily avaliable pictures of PLA vehicles showing them training and getting really muddy. There are so many different climates and terrain changes in China that basically all types of weathering would be accurate, but it would be nice to see some pictures of them. I guess thats them there commies for ya!
(Just one thing- there are some light fingerprints around the armor blocks on the turret. I find a bit of light brushing with a soft, flat brush usually sorts them.)

Yeap, found it! I have several ways to tackle them now, and I have a couple of spare vinyls I plan to practice various techniques on before I tackle the actual kit ones. Hopefully I should get started painting the model today!!
