Hello
here is my latest completed. I wasn't sure whether this was better placed in the Diorama section, but anyway here it is.
the reverse of the box had 2 different paint schemes, one three colour camo scheme serving with 3 Pz Div HQ in Russia 1943, the other gloss black with German Police numberplates in Prague, 1945.
I tried both paint schemes, and preferred the gloss black look for this car.
I didnt use either set of numberplates supplied with the kit. They seemed a bit oversize to my eye, so went with SS numberplates. These cars were made 1936-38, and photos show that just the drivers side of the front window had a wiper. The wiper was scratchbuilt, none comes with the kit
The car is not weathered as its a party official's town car, not a frontline runabout.
cheers

I love the looks of that car.
Turned out great.
(I've got a 1/35th resin kit that I'll get around to building someday)

Hi Dave
thanks for the comment
I bought this kit only because I'm a fan of the car shape. Its a bit like a stretched 4 door Volkswagen Beetle, if you take the "shark fin" off the back. I've got plans for the very similar looking T-87.
cheers
Neil

T-87 that's the kit I have, always reminded me of the first bat-mobile. Looking forward to seeing your T-87.

Hi Dave
funny you say that, it always puts me in mind of a 1930s central european bat-mobile also, though thats not the reason I went with the gloss black finish
another friend calls it a 'roach' when finished in black, though when finished in silver (as some seem to have been, though maybe post-war) it could be perhaps be called a 'silverfish'
cheers
