Hello all as I told Bowman18 I plan on building an M1113 ECV with Mini-Samson RCWS systems,(RCWS)-remote-controlled weapon stations., but first I need a bit more info on mounting the remote MG and interior info. So as I read up on what littel I can get: mini of the (RCWS's) are mounted on heavy armored Patrol units. Here's some of the photos I have and some are concpt photos.

Here's a patrol unit with out any thing mounted.

Here's a photo of a newer RCWS with a new camera housing. Like that of the Merkava IV Heavy APCs unit.

I have some photos of the latest Mini-Samson RCWS systems mounted on a Patrol unit but I have to find it and once I do I'll be back to post in as well. Thanks for looking in and any info and photos you all have would be

Well when I start my build I plan on using a Academy M1025 Humvee as the bases for my build. As for my scratch work on the armored body. I have the Legend IDF Uparmored conversion set that I will use as a copy.

Hay Bowman I found those photos. Now this version looks like an M1114 from the rear shot.

As you can see this remote system is the same as the Heavey Namer APC/AFV.

I have more shots of the remote MG to post.

Hay Bowman don't buy the legend kit yet, I see that I may be rong about the use of the basic patrol unit. It seams as they are only using an base line armored M1113 and M1114 HMMWV ECV. So the photos of the last three units are what we should use for now., but I will look for any new photos on this subject.

Again great photos, just seeing more and more makes me want to drop everything and start building it.

Havent got the legend kit yet, thought I might try and sctrach build it instead of buy it, but after seeing these photos I will do some research as well to find what I can about that wicked looking humvee as well as the gun platform.

The first photo which you think is the M1114 has great diorama potential.

Hay "kubisz" thanks for the photos, I'll be saving them as well. In looking at all these photos, It looks like the mount for the M966, M996A1 and M1036 HMMWVs TOW Missile Carrier configurations of the HMMWV family. The only thing is, it looks to be mounted more to the front of the turret ring. The mounting base is close in appearance to the TOW launchers shorter base.
So I'll be using my Academy M966 TOW Missile Carrier as my staring point. As for the configuration of the Humvee/HMMWV. It looks like a basic M1114 UAH HMMWV., but in Israel they call this system the Katlanit RCWS. An they don't us all the number designations. They would simply call this unit the "Katlanit RCWS on Hammer"/ like "TOW on Hummer" Yes I did say Hammer some in israel call it Hammer or US english language Humvee or Hummer.
Any way is some on wants to spend a lot of doh, they can get the Legend Productions M1114 Humvee Conversion Set and use the M966 Tow turret Ring. But I'm going to scratch build the UAH body kit my self and save some doh/money.

Thanks for the help guys.

Ok guys I was thinking of going on and starting my Katlanit RCWS project here., or should I start a new topic and to the full build there? Any way in looking at the roof photos the RCWS ring is not like the standered gun ring. here's a photo of the two rings for the M1025 and the M998. The black lines are to show that part's I'll need to my RCWS build.

Like the patrol trucks(cars) ring, I'll have to scratch build my own. An use the two parts for the othere two rings. Now I'm not going to cut up the TOW ring as I still my use it but the part from the M1025 will be added to my larger katlanit ring. Here's a close up on one of the roof tops.

SO do you all think I should go on and to the build here or start a new post?

Just found this old thread while searching the IDF RCWS. Great thread with useful photographs. However, since it's 6 years old I'll ask...Captain Caveman are you still working on this or is it already a done deal? It will be nice to see the end result. TIA
