Nice progress there Bob. I'd rather leave the small parts off the model during the painting process and paint them separately. It was a hard learn for me in the past but it works well now.

Axel), nice choice I just love the looks of that tank and its camo. Will you be using blue tack to mask off the colors? Bob
Bob: Since the Caunter Scheme I'm going to attempt on this tank has mostly straight lines, I'll just use tape. I'm going to use Silly Putty (same concept as blutak) on my spitfire build, as the Camo on that is an irregular pattern.
Bob, if you are interested I posted some pics of the blutak/Silly Putty in use here:
http://aeroscale.kitmaker.net/forums/169359&page=2 My modelling time has been severely curtailed by a motorcycle accident. I'll do my best to complete the campaigns I have signed up for, but I think a few of them won't be done in time.

Howdy Y'all
I just popped 'Bridge Too Far' into the DVD player and got inspired. I'm suprised we're on page 7 of posts and January isn't even over. Here's my entry:
Tamyia Matilida with a Voyager update set and some Echelon decals.

Howdy Stan,
I haven't watched the movie in over a decade, it's great. The Matilda is a well engineered kit; a pleasure to build.

LOL, nice shot Naseby!

Darren: Looks good!
Scott: I still can't believe your technical skills with PE
Stan: The Churchill is indeed larger than it appears, I was surprised myself when I first got a 1/72 model of one and compared it to a 1/72 King Tiger.

I am building the Tamiya Cromwell with the Verlinden extras.

The resin kit

This kit is going together very well, but I am not sure about some of the resin storage boxes. I am going to put the cutter on the front, but leave off the cowling to show the PE screens.

I know I'm a little late to the party, but I'm in with a Tamiya Chieftain and lots of reference pics and sheet plastic to fix it up myself and save around $100.

Great work so far, and I hope to have something to add in the very near future.

I started today with the Croco. It has been a stress free built so far. Despite its size there are only a few parts and the detail is preaty good. Not bad for a 30+ years old kit.

I replaced the rear grab handles with brass wire, what a long and blinding job.

I also use the PE holders for the rear fenders along with the extra fuel tank.

I ran a wire to the search light and tied it into the turret.

I mounted the hedgerow cutters on the front

And some stowage for the rear.

Tim You did start 5 day ago and You have the first paint on ? What the ? And You even did some PE and wire on it ? Its a 1/35 Armour FTLOG, Even if it is Tamiya You HAVE TO spend at leas a month with it! I feel like a total looser right now.

Seriously, it looks great.

Good evening Gents!
After spending long hours of work I can show You some progress. It goes quite slowly but sure. First I was able to finish the idle wheel adjusting thing on the front of the chassis.
Some photos of the progress of building...

... and the result.
I also finished the house of the sprocket wheel each side. This was a really though job but I am quite happy with the result.

Few pictures of the building steps...

... and this is it.
Well, back to work. Thanks for watching.
Andy
