Need quick replies here. I'm going to buy a T72. Story short, once I finish building it, I'm going to use a conversion kit to turn it into a T90A. Can anyone tell me of a good conversion kit out there? I'd like to buy the T90 itself from Zvezda, but Im not trusting a Russian site with my credit card number.

Tanks,

Hi Alex
I fear the only accurate conversion in town is the really expensive Miniarm one(s).
To turn your T-72 into a T-90, you'll need a new turret (obviously ;-) ) but also new roadwheels and tracks, a new front hull, the side armor plates and some more bits you can scratch.

Good luck on this one.

Hi Alex,
Zvezda don't produce any T90.
The only way to get an accurate T90 is to mix Tamiya T72 with Miniarm conversion sets.

Yeah, it's been TBD for a couple of years now, no test shots or anything. I'm guessing it's still vaporware at this point.

Thanks for the reply. I'll see if I can scratch one out myself.

Thanks,

Alex

Which is really quite interesting. That tanks from 1995 and is fairly popular among Russian enthusiasts. I built a Spanish Leopard 2E, and that tank was produced in 2003. Anyways,

Thanks,

Don't get me started! If not for the efforts of SP Designs and Miniarm, we would have a kit of every modern tank in 1/35 except the Russian ones. I mean, I'm glad I have an Ariete, K!A!, and Type 99 in the attic for future builds but the fact that we got them before a T-90 is stupefying to me. At this rate, we'll get an Arjun first. . .
