Hi,
Thx for the kind words !
Here is a little update. I had to redo the building , cos it was destroyed by a primer I sprayed from a spray can... Plus I worked on the machine gunner position, changeing his legs and arms (get the meaning of plastic surgery there !)
Hope you guys like it,
Regards,
Richard

I like the way you have the machine gunner "squatting" on the back seat. It gives it a sense of action.
A small suggestion... have you considered making that "ledge" into a balcony? It's just that it's pretty big, and I don't remember ever seeing a building in Beirut with a "ledge" that big. I just think a balcony would make the building look more real.
Of course, that's just my personal opinion
Nice work... look forward to see more updates.

Thanks for your comment Hisham, much appreciated !
I built that ledge with a sort of shadow shelter in mind and found it ok as large as the pavement is. But it could've been smaller, I agree with you.
As the scene takes place in the 1970's, I wanted to have something in that could easily help giving an idea of the era. Just have a look at the backside of the diorama, inside the house...
Hope you guys like it.
Regards,
Richard

Great start here. I am a big fan of LandRovers and we don't see that many of them being built. Way to do something original as well. Can you share the manufacturer and kit # of the Dshk?

Thanks for your comments Iain. Much appreciated.
The Dshk comes from the old Tamiya T62 kit.

This build is shaping up nicely Pottier. I looked and the thread some time ago and am sorry I didn't chime in earlier. Did you use foam board for the building? Is the machine gunner's head a spare or did you carve it yourself?

Hi,
Here is the diorama almost finished (bright colors on the figs that will become matt, a title for the scene, & that's all !)
Here ya go !
Global views
Now the Landie shooting back
Figures on & in the building
Like the room ???? With these wallpapers and posters, you can think of a flat belonging to a westerner expatriate working in Lebanon for example !
Hope you guys like it,
Regards,
Richard
