The Armorama Staff are proud to announce the winners of the July Model of the Month sponsored by Dragon Models.

A total of 413 votes cast this month

In first place: Rafal Jankowski with his M4a1 Sherman 48.2% (199)of the votes.



In second place: Jesper Bardhamre with his Gypsy panther 11.4% (47) of the votes.



In third place: Garnier Pierre with his M551 Sheridan Iraq 2003 9.0% (37) of the votes.

congratulations to all the entries... they were all great! i voted for Rafal's Sherman for his exceptional weathering and detailed painting of the stowed gear but it was tough as i had too many nice subjects to choose from. cheers, mh

Congrats to all the winners! I especially love that M4A1, it's a superb model, the weathering looks simply amazing and the figure paining is first class.

They all look pretty good. The M551 Sheridan Iraq 2003 is a historically fictional vehicle though. The M551 Sheridan was phased out in the early '90s, just after ODS. No M551 Sheridans were used in Iraq in 2003.

Great contest and certainly way too many good choices to pick your vote.
However, I wonder about the winner: Of cause it's a great model, super technique, and composition, but by all rights it's a diorama, which should have lead to disqulification of that entry.
Even the second place does not comply to rules and regs for this competition.
Don't get me wrong, I like both models a lot. I just wonder about interpretation of the contest-rules...
