Very nice looking easy 8's. I really like the weathering.

Can you tell us what brand of paint you used and what color?

Thanks

I'm not really interested in Shermans, but you have a way of making it interesting. I enjoyed reading this thread very much.

Thanks.. and great work!

Wow Marcos, you finished this triple build FAST!! Very nice looking trio of Shermans to boot

Quick question for you: What is your overall opinion of the 6183 kit?

thanks, Jeremy...

I´m not finish with these triple Shermans, missing only a few minor details, but
as I'm renovating my workbench, this step will take a while
... now, tools and rear deck loads ...

About the Dragon 6183, I quite liked the kit ... It is a kit that still requires a
little work with some errors, but the magic-tracks are a delight to
build , He have a good metal gun and an excellent decal sheet.
I consider a good buy, no doubt ...

The new Tasca M4A3E8 should be higher, according to the latest reviews ... But, by the price, the Dragon is an excellent acquisition ...

It´s my opinion, of course...

All the best !!!

Wow, I was so distracted by the finishes that I didn't even realize the lack of some of the small details

Reason I'm asking about the Thunderbolt kit is that I have the 6807 M4A3 HVSS POA-CWS-H5 Flamethrower, which I think the Thunderbolt kit may have been based on, and was wondering if it was worth building or not.

Keep up the good work......

On 9010 you have used a UK antenna mount - the instructions have you put it there, but its wrong (it was orginally for the M4A4/Firefly kit)
Also I think the RB barrel looks great but its too far out- you might want to double check the length.

Ialways like looking at your blogs- theyre well written, informative, and funny!

Hi Marcos,
this was a really entertaining log ... since I have all of them in my stash I especially liked them side by side ... quite right about your thoughts for the old ladies' new dress ... sandbag and concrete armour can help a lot. The rest will have to be old fashioned scratch work.
Really good, keep it up

I use automotive enamels, made in paint shops, using computers to mixture the colors. I present one sample of the paint I need and the computer make one liter by the price of one little bottle of acrylic...

Jeremy...If I'm not mistaken, the kit 9010 (oldest) and her are very similar ... The 6183 (Thunderbolt) is the newest and most detailed. If you want to build your own, can be based on assembly of 9010 ... they are "cousins."

But I have a principle of life ... I do not leave a kit in the shelf....
Good or bad, I build ... It is very nice ....

eheheheheheheheheh

Marcos -- Youre too cool...... Love the Merkava picture! I love your idea regarding the use of automotive paint too, youre very practical ( it also makes cents!!!!) I'll have to keep that in mind for the future. Have you tried the newer automotive acrylics?

Modern automotive acrylics are great, but they are way too impractical to buy for modeling here in the States

Very impressive builds!!! I personally really appreciated the side by side comparison along the way.

Your attention to detail makes an informative build. My hat's off to ya bud.

Gentlemen, I was one month without posting news, because my house was
reform ...

When I finished the reform of the house (and my workshop), I made a new rack on the workbench, to save all typical modellers junk ... here are photos of my bunker;
East wall:

and west wall:

Thanks to the Gods, space is not lacking ....

But in this weekend, I took the girls to finish ...

Resumed by the ammo trailer ...

How do I load with a canvas cover, I use styrofoam as filler ...

But the trailer has an opening in the back ....

Easy!

I put a popsicle stick to simulate the presence of a wooden box:
Gluing wood on the inside back cover of the opening of the trailer:

... And how it was:

You take a styrofoam block ...

Cut with knife, simulating boxes ...

... And cover it with vegetable- paper + white glue diluted in water:

While the "canvas" to dry, let's load the rear deck of M4A3E8 105mm .... resin roll- beds, crates , etc...

Jerry-cans and water-can:

After all painted and glued, a piece of tarp over the load:

In ammo-trailer, canvas already dry receives a layer of paint ...

the other side:

Well...a stop for recharge my battery !!!

Well ..

While the paint dries, let's do loads in two M4A3E8 with 76mm gun ...

First, the concrete armour (Old Dragon + Model Club):

Then, the newest Dragon (Thunderbolt):

After applying the vegetable paper + glue, a coat of paint and some color effects:

Concrete armour:

Thunderbolt:

Ammo trailler:

And finally, the girls finished ....
final touch: MVLenses...

Concrete armour:

The Thunderbolt:

...and the Academy 105mm, with ammo-trailer:

Well...
The job is done !

I finished the three yankee Girls!!

The conversion kit for Model Club is just amazing ...

Thanks for following the topic and a big hug!!!!

Hey Marcos,

The triumvirate turned out amazing! Weathering is fantastic, and the whole write up is packed with information. Job well done

Matter of fact, pouring over your pics might just give me the drive to finish a Sherman I've been stalled on here of late. So I personally owe you a big thanks!!!

Marcos, a great job all around mate. Three differing kits that yield a good result with your steady hands
I do like the scrubbed effect of wear on them; regardless of how realistic it would have been it does make for a good viewing...
