Here's my BTR-70 Soviet APC from the Soviet-Afghan Conflict. The kit is Zvezda #3557, 1:35 scale. It was my first attempt using an airbrush and I think it came out quite nicely. I decided not to weather it, though, as I figured one new major technique per model was enough. I kind of wish I had done more with the wheels though. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pictures as much as I enjoyed the build!

I agreee, Robby, the airbrushing looks good. It's a fine looking model. I see what you're saying about the wheels. Might I suggest using dark grey instead of black. They'll look a little more worn. Drilling out the gun barrels adds alot to the model, IMHO. But it's your choice. Building for fun is what counts. Nice work, man.

The tires were molded in black hard rubber, so I figured they would be okay to leave as is. That's a great idea to just paint them that dark grey. And right after I finished this kit, I got a rotary tool set as a gift--I will definitely be drilling out the barrels in the future!

Hi Robby. Good job on the camo .. especially since it was your first atte,pt with the airbrush. theres no going back now. Your model is now the perfect base for weathering .... show no fear!!
Even if you only added some thinned pin washes to the lft the details, and some dust to the tyres, you take very little risks, and it will lift the overall finish immensely.
