Sd.kfz 222 by tamiya, 1/35th build
I still have to do weathering and add a couple of things.
As always any comments and suggestions would be welcome :-) Thanks in advance

Looked awesome, Lord Se, the dry brush is very effective. You and WWH among the 2 most talented mono-toned builder. The pig is nice too, but looked a little incorrect....
The camo pattern on the pig is off by 2 %, and the the alignment of the nursing piglet are a little off.

"El D"
This looks very well done--solid build. Your edge highlighting is just first rate---I've always admired your dry brush talents---another fine effort on your part. Looking forward to seeing this one completed/weathered.
I have to agree with Dave though, those pigs were three part camo'd during the Barb campaign---better check your references again!!! #:-) #:-) #:-) Check "Das Pigs" if you can still locate a copy.
ps: Is this the first use of the airbrush or is it brush painted?

Another thing, there is no head up shot, so I can't comment on the lens, but I am sure they are wrong. You and WWH, you two kinda really Lens-Challenged.

very interestings subject for model. the colour shoulds be panzer gray if I remembers, yours is not. shoulds be more dark blueish. Too heavy on drybrushings, perhaps as you becomes better and more experencenced in hobby you will learn to use shading and such techniques on models to bring up highlights on serfaces. Many starting modelers use amerture techniques like you drybrushings, but that is okay as long as you learns and becomes more learned. cannot sees horn or notek or blackouts lights from fronts. ok job on tarp coverings spare tyer. Petrol cans are not accurate. model could have improved greatlie with uses of foto etch and maybe barel aftermarket kind. Colour of tyers also off, does not looks like rubber tyers of that peroid, too blackish. Germans rubbers were warmer blackish colours. Cannot see too many insides details. Paint works also looks a little grainy? why? maybe too much dry brushings with too much paints? notices places as that not look as well painted. Not bad otherwise. Maybe try and uses less glue next time on models. Tubes looks new and no rusts on them. Tell barb that it looks okay but needs some attentions to details. Materials for lookings at always good idea.
Seems that lots of us are amaturers here, Uday, so care to share a pic of your expertly built armor model, so we can all be shocked and awed? Thanks.
The build is an OOB build, so I think Sel did a good job for an OOB vehicle. It was never meant to be built with PE or barrels, so you need to keep that in mind.
And the color of the Pz gray and tires, now this is new. I think unless for recent vehicles, i.e. knocked out Iraqi ones, and US ones or brits one that are deployed in the Mideast, or the vehicles that we can readily get information. It's absurd to criticize the color of a tank's color that is more than 60 years old, even the color pics we have of them vehicles, the color pic's color might be off due to age or quality of the film then.
Tell barb it looks okay....Who's barb?

Uday, can you describe the shading techniques you are mentioning please? I would love to get a description along with some pics of your work that show this technique. I am willing to try something new, so please help us out. Thanks.

Folks, methinks Mr. Uday is a troll. His posts read like a cheap comic's attempts at doing a Middle Eastern accent. His posts have been critical to the point of insult, even his introductory comment about superior Soviet "hardwar". His choice of moniker, Uday, seems just a bit too much.
And, Uday, if you are for real, let's see some links to your own work.
Damn, I hate trolls. There just aren't enough Billy Goats around these days.
Selrach, for the record, IMHO, I think you did an excellent job on the spare tire cover, . Overall, looking pretty good. Since this is still in progress, I suspect there'll be some more weathering on the tires, right? However, I do see some flash on the (++) (++) . #:-)

Thanks for the comments everyone
I should have mentioned this is an OOB build. if it wern't, one of the first things I would have redone would be the gas cans. #:-) as it is, I modified the handholds by scraping out the extra bars to change it from one large hold to the 3 bar hold. . #:-)
This is basicly just the preleminary build, I still need to do more weathering and add a few things , like the shovel and the jack and tow cable :-)
Mud is always a good thing to add :-) #:-)
I do like the effect I got with the Tarp. I thought it looked effective
Thanks again And I am looking forward to seing some examples of award winning work soon

First to Charlie, beautiful work for an OOB Build!!!!! Second for Uday, the only grey I personally know of that has true blue tinit is this one......
GUNSHIP GREY FS 36118!!!!! As you can see its used on US Air Force strike bombers and level bombers. Seeing how you're an Iraqi citizen I can see how easy it is for you to be confused as to your colours of military vehicles. I mean we have been fling over your country for over a decade!!!! Please check your colour charts before making such a nasty and somewhat bitter comment!!!!!! STUG .....

I love it. Grand job. Love the light touches around the vehicle. Unlike the critic, I think more glue should be used! (lol)
Great work be proud. I wish I was as talented.
