This is about as intricate as the real thing! And the weathering is amazing!
Im planning to build a 1/35 TUSK Abrams interior model. It's going to be my first full scale. Any suggestions?

the only thing i can suggest, study a lot of photo's make drawings, and just start building.
Also some interior parts of the older dragon kit come in handy like the rear and turret sides. I placed these in the turret and start building from there, lots of measuring was needed so everything fits in right.
thanks guys
the tank is almost finished, it still needs some work like straps for stowage and maby the MRE packages need some writing.
Oil leak on a roadwheel
some oil dripping on the rear
tent bag marked for this tank
almost finished
that's it for now

Those figures are definitely a labor of love. For that matter, so is the kit.

This is amazing. Please explain how you did the tank tracks on the pavement, and where did you get the figures? Are they conversions? Any sculpting?

Thanks Guys,
Hi Bob.
the track marks where made by using the (Dragon M1a2sep) DS-tracks painted with grey/black oil paint and pressed on the pavement,
only the DS-tracks worked by me since they are a little soft so they press really on the pavement,
unlike the AFV-club tracks they are realy Hard, and wont give you the full track mark.
the figures are From verlinden Prod. from the (US tank & AFV crew Iraq Conv Parts). some arms/hands are from the sparebox.
2 of them got a Hood i sculpted and all of them got the underside of the Parka sculpted, also they got some Pockets on there pants

the pigments DVD was actualy realy an insight on how to use the pigments, it tells you all kind of ways to apply the pigments, so its was realy helpfull.

So finally I found my motivation for this project back, thanks to Robert Burik with his awesome build.
Here a little update
The base is complete reworked from the last update, I made it much smaller because there was to much empty space for my taste.
The tank itself got most of the pigment weathering removed, cause I didn't like it and will replace this with a dust wash, I also added some small details here and there.
The figure's are replaced by only one, the others just didn't got the right poses.
still not sure where to place this guy?
i still need a name for this dio, to put on the base, any idea's?
Next is, blend the base + Tank together, and paint the figure.

Awesome! Love the chair and the straps are very good. Nice usage of color with the orange strap instead of just plain green. I like the placement of the figure.
Keep going!

Gijs, if you are going for historical accuracy, keep in mind the tankers were still wearing MOPP suits at the time, just like your were originally depicting.

It's great to see this beast coming back to life. I'm still a sucker for a nice Abrams. And this one is one of the best I've seen. By the way, great photos.

Thanks matt, yours is also still one of the best around! Btw. Werent you doing a Leopard quite some time ago?
