Thanks guys,

Bob, yeah i know about the MOPP suits but i'm going with the overalls, i just can't find a suitable figure in MOPP gear, and i want to finish this one asap.

I thought your MOPP suit guys looked great, except maybe the arms on the middle figure were a little long. I would think that would be an easy fix. Or just use one figure, like the crouching one. Or the standing one on the right. They are further along than the one with the overalls.

I'm quite flattered that you remember my Leopard. I still have her. I've done so little modelling since I moved a few years back. I still love the hobby. Working on some little projects right now. I feel incredibly rusty right now. But work like your Abrams is certainly inspiration to get more building done.

This is a nice project and it looks like you've been at it for a while. Glad your still going strong because I know how prolong projects gets and how hard it gets to keep the motivation going. Anyway, glad all your pics are still here and they are nice.

Btw, all those 50cal. shells...did you created those or are they AM product?

That is a Pickett Pounder, simply a tube made of metal with one end closed off, handles welded to the side, and used to drive picketts into the ground. It does make decent door ram depending on how it was built and how much it weighs.

We call it a "thumper" in the CAF.

Cheers,
Tom

Those are from mission models, they come in a set with round + links + shells.

Time for an update, I added the antenna's of course they needed more details so I added a .50 link at the top, to tie them down.

The vehicle itself got a dust treatment from oil paint, this is not done yet so photo's later.

As for the figure, this on did give me quite a headache since I failed many time's painting the head.

I Dunno but he looks kind scared

The figure looks pretty good. What figure is it? One thing you may want to change is the boots. Most wore the suade tan desert boots in OIF 1.
