Dave - Glad you enjoyed it. Nope, I was not an instructor at Fort Sill. I am humbled you even think that. Just an old muzzle plug that spent plenty of time behind the breech.
I am sure there are a few old officers today who remember when the were young and this old bore brush rammed some information home!! It was the best way to never forget something.

I wish I could remember all the stuff I knew back then.......

Of course they probably fit an entire FDC in a smart phone now.......so what I knew is as obsolete as the guns now.

Dave - Now....don't feel bad, as I tell my friend Gino, my first unit had M1 175mm catapults......the recoil systems were a nightmare. Working with the FDC was also tough, especially when we used paprus charts and an abacus to do the calculations
